Web and App Developers have been struggling to update their site and apps with new color themes in past months (Google Chrome, Facebook, Twitter and even WhatsApp also achieved this), now Instagram is one of them who gained the new Dark mode color option. The dark mode of any app like Instagram itself, can help to minimize power consumption to your device as well as easier for your eyes to read the text at night.This all has been proven in Google’s research.

Though, the dark mode isn’t yet available to everyone, and also enabling dark mode for Instagram site isn’t simple compare to Instagram’s app by tapping to switch. The head of Instagram Adam Mosseri tweeted that to enabling the Instagram‘s dark mode you need to have latest version of the operating system in your mobile i.e. Android 10 and iOS 13.
If you have updated version of OS in your mobile then Instagram will change color automatically while activating the device’s dark mode through System-wide. There’s no other way to activate Instagram’s dark mode, but in future it may be available. Whenever it will be available we’ll inform and guide you about to switch the modes.

How to activate/enable dark mode for iOS
If you are using an iPhone running with iOS 13 version within it, the following steps will let you to change its system-wide settings and thus you can enable the Instagram’s dark mode.
Go to your phone’s settings
Select ‘Display and Brightness’
Tap ‘Dark’ to change the theme
Now Open Instagram

To enable Instagram’s dark mode in Android 10, follow these four steps:
Go to your phone’s settings
Scroll to Tap on ‘Display’
Tap ‘on’ to activate the ‘Dark mode’
